What is Hubspot Ads?

HubSpot Ads goes beyond simply creating paid ads. It's a strategic tool that integrates seamlessly with your content marketing efforts to achieve maximum impact. HubSpot Ads simplifies creating and managing ad campaigns across popular platforms like Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads. It integrates seamlessly with HubSpot's CRM, giving you a powerful tool to nurture leads and grow your business.

HubSpot challenges the traditional notion of ads as interruptions. Instead, they advocate for creating targeted ads that feel like valuable content. Imagine an ad on social media that shares a customer's positive experience with your brand, or a search ad with a concise, informative headline. These ads provide value upfront and resonate with your target audience.

How Does it Work?

HubSpot Ads integrates your ad campaigns with your CRM data. This lets you target the right audience with laser focus, leading to higher engagement and return on investment (ROI).

Here's a breakdown of its key features:

  • Targeted Audiences: Leverage your CRM data to target website visitors or specific audience segments.
  • Automated Lead Management: HubSpot automates lead nurturing, freeing up your time to focus on other tasks.
  • Full Flywheel Reporting: Track your ad performance throughout the customer journey, from initial ad click to closed deal.
  • CRM-powered Ads: Sync your ad data with your CRM for a holistic view of your marketing efforts.

Getting Started with HubSpot Ads (Step-by-Step)

You are gonna start with connecting a account (let's say a Google Ads account this time) to HubSpot.

Select Google Ads.

You can either choose Create ad account (bu doing this, Hubspot says taht you might be eligable to get a $500 credit for your new Google Ads account) If you want to just make it simple, then click Connect accounts and select your existing Google Ads account.

You need to grant HubSpot access to your Google Ads account by adding login information etc.
After you've logged in and granted access, you will get to this page:

Click in the ad account and also click in auto tracking button.
And then connect.

Afterwards, it should look like this:

After this step, you are going to select a pixel.
You might be wondering... what is a pixel? Pixels is what you need for the tracking.
Pixels detect visits to your pages and tracks for you so that you can then re-engage them with relevant ads.

Afterwards, you are now going to set up your ads ROI (Return on investment).
Return on investment is an approximate measure of your investment's profitability.

Here you have two options of ROI:

Revenue from your deals:
This option uses the actual revenue data tracked by your sales team in HubSpot. When a contact interacts with your ad and eventually becomes a customer, the associated deal value is automatically pulled into your Ads tool to show how your ads are directly contributing to closed deals.

Estimate revenue:
This option is for situations where your sales team doesn't use HubSpot, or their revenue tracking isn't integrated. You can manually enter approximate revenue values to get a general sense of ROI.

For this example, we are choosing: Revenue from your deals.

And then click: Go to ads dashboard

And you're DONE!
